Where does the time go?

Wow, where does the time go?!! It seems like just yesterday we were talking about Thanksgiving and here we are now getting ready for Christmas in less than 2 weeks!

Here is some things that have been happening recently:

Dad is doing really well! They changed his medicine a few weeks ago and his energy level has really gone up.

We have the house all decorated, inside and out. It looks so good. Laura and the kids did an amazing job.
Olivia started soccer on Monday nights. She is just learning the game, but I love watching her out there.

We hope that everyone is doing well and we wish you all a Merry Christmas!!!!

Thanksgiving

We had our first Thanksgiving without Mom and we were surprised at how well it went. Everyone did an amazing job in cooking and preparing for the day. We had about 25 people at the house. Had a lot of laughs, a few tears, and a good time with family. The kids seem to have a blast and we ate way too much!!!!! Dad did surprisingly well. I am amazed at how God has given him the strength to make it through this time. Lisa did well too. I think we might have been so busy on that day, that we did not have time to be sad. Don't get me wrong, we really missed mom, but we did not sit around and think about it. Now, after the day was done, it set in a little more.

It was wonderful to be with the family.

Starting the Livingston Story

Many of you have followed the blog that I started for my mom, Rheba (rhebaann.blogspot.com). What a journey we had as she battled her liver disease. When she passed away in September during her transplant surgery, I stopped updating the blog after the funeral.

Well, I have to admit, I have missed this outlet for sharing information, stories of the family, and the feelings we have been going through.

So, today we begin the Livingston story. I will keep you updated on what is happening in our life, and hopefully share some of my wisdom with you (ok, I went a little too far there, but you know what I mean). Please be a part of this blog and post comments often.

Here is to some great memories to come.
